The passion and energy of owners Aimee and Eden shines right through Jock and Mack, with brunch classics, Axil coffee and friendly service making it a local favourite. It’s hard to go past the house-made cheesy herb hash with smashed avo, poached egg, roquette salad and salmon, but if you’re on the move, check out their range of specialty cheese toasties featuring the Truffle Mushroom, Truffle, pecorino, taleggio, red onion, roasted thyme mushroom w/ sea salt & a Parmesan Crus. This is a great stop for cyclists tackling the Federation Trail and is also dog friendly, with outdoor seating, doggy treats and puppycinnos.
Oh Happy Day
Visiting Cheetham Wetlands? This cute as button, Oh Happy Day is a great post-walk brunch option, located just 5 kilometres from the observation tower and just a short walk from Saltwater Coast Crocodile Park. Try the hot jam hotcakes, sugar coated hotcakes, topped with strawberry coulis, fresh strawberries, vanilla ice cream and maple syrup, or if you’re feeling virtuous, the chilli tofu tango with scrambled tofu, fresh chilli, sambal oelek, harissa, hashbrown and tomato onion salsa. Within the brunch menu you’ll find a fresh spin on some of your favourites including the zucchini salad with zucchini, cucumber ribbons with orange segments, rocket, walnuts, dill & mint tossed in an orange vinaigrette.
